Freedom Weekend

What a blessed weekend. The big church event was cancelled Friday so we spent the day hanging with Shaena's parents who drove in from Cruces. It was great having them. Spent an hour racing go karts with my Father-In-Law. The rest of the day at the Mall. They took Nicky for the night so Shaena and I got to go on a date.

Saturday we have a great time at Balloon Fiesta Park. When we were leaving we were wondering why people where buying turkey legs at 11pm. We soon discovered why. We sat in dead stop traffic for an hour and a half in the parking lot. Next time I'm getting me a turkey leg.

Sunday we celebrated freedom with our church family. 5,000 people gathered to sing, study, and enjoy the fireworks.

If the Son has set you free, you are free indeed!

Another Stellar Weekend!

Had a busy weekend. Worshipped with the coolest church in America four
times over.

We then had a worship community meeting for about a half hour. Feel so
blessed to be surrounded by so many talented lovers of God. God is
doing some really cool stuff (granted He always is). Excited for the
future.

Then headed off to band practice for an hour. Packed up and drove to
Santa Fe. Played a hour and a half set. Shared fellowship and worship
with a great bunch of His church. Ended the day with some Dions with
the bros. Haven't laughed that hard in a while.

Still Chasing,
Nick

8 sets in 6 days

Livin the dream. So blessed this week to lead worship 8 times. Highlight for sure was Jubilee Fest. Thanks to all the killer musicians for working hard and GIVING GOD YOUR BEST. Thanks to all those that showed up and worshipped with us. City of Albuquerque loves to sing to the Lord. His name is GLORIOUS.

3eb

So 3eb (third eye blind) came into town last night. Their self title album released when I was 16 and was one of my favs. Seeing them live was for sure on my bucket list. They were amazing. Played all their hits and showcased some new songs from their upcoming 4th release this summer. Sold out show. Now, by no means do their lives or song lyrics glorify the Lord. However, Shaena commented that it looked like a worship service with people singing out and lifting hands. Whether, the crowd realized it or not 3eb glorified God. God gives them breath and gave them the talents. Although few in the crowd realized it and the band would deny it, they are in certain respects displaying the glory of God. It's a challenging thought to me. All creation glorifies God! It can not be avoided. The fallacy of human thought is that I can take God's gracious gifting and use it to bring myself fame and glory. The best combo is when people come into realization of the truth that you we are created for HIS glory! May my life reflect this truth.
